Where's Jumpin' Joe Kennedy?

How about Elizabeth Warren? I thought the middle class was being "hammered" in her home-away-from-home state.

Gee. I guess when you militantly refuse to have nuclear power plants, coal burning plants, pipelines and refineries built in your area, energy rates go up. What a surprise. But don’t worry, once all those wind power generators get going, rates will come down again. Oh, that’s right, rich Nantucket homeowners protested them too so I guess the state is SOL.

This should go over like a lead balloon. Just wait, winter heat bills are really going to hurt people.

It amuses and saddens me simultaneously when I hear Democrat voters maintain the belief that their party is for “the working family” or “the average guy.” Naivete is crippling our nation as much as anything.

Isn’t fuel oil the source of home heating in the NE US ?

Who says Barack Obama didn’t keep any of his promises?

That is what I hear. NE uses more heating oil than anywhere in the country.

"In 2008, President Obama said, ‘If someone wants to build a new coal-fired power plant they can, but it will bankrupt them because they will be charged a huge sum for all the greenhouse gas that’s being emitted',.

Only promise he kept........

Maybe Joe Kennedy can go, hat in hand, and beg Venezuela for more charity oil.

Pain is a great teacher. Maybe now any remaining conservatives will pack up and head to a red state. The libs can freeze in the dark with the memory of hope and change to keep them warm and Obama’s oft-present photo staged halo to light up their lives.

I think the only power source that can satisfy Massachusetts is photovoltaics, provided of course that the cost is massively subsidized by someone else. That, or chaining the one percent to stationary bikes to power generators. But I repeat myself.

This may drive retired folks from their homes. Now the liberals will see what they have wrought. No coal plants means higher costs cause they have to buy their electricity from states with extra production. It is going to get ugly this winter.

I live in Indiana. We are a coal state. We have been fighting the EPA over the shut down of clean coal plants. They win, we lose and we are going to get slammed with high heating bills this winter.

I hate democrats.

Never forget that while the dems instigated it and deserve a lot of blame, the GOP, who are supposed to be the check on Dem power grabs, stood silently by and let them destroy the energy industry.

I guess that's what you get when you overwhelmingly support a presidential candidate and a party who promised that ,"...under [their] version of a cap and trade system, electricity rates will NECESSARILY SKYROCKET."

So how's that workin' out for you?

There are actually several nuclear power plants in MA. But they don’t have coal or refineries, and federal regulations essentially make it impossible for the NE to get gas from Texas. They only way they can get fuel is to have shipped from Europe.
