Ward's family statement to ESPN on Wednesday, said: "Our son got out of his car during caution, while the race was suspended. All other vehicles were reducing speed and not accelerating except for Tony Stewart, who intentionally tried to intimidate Kevin by accelerating and sliding his car towards him, causing this tragedy. I understand the Ward Families pain and hatered that Tony was not hung from a rope in the Town Square. However they need to realize that Kevin Ward Jr. WALKED INTO THE RACING LINE AND GOT HIMSELF KILLED!!! MR. WARD SR- YOU NEED TO STAND BACK AND LOOK AT THINGS FROM ALL DIRECTIONS!

That has got to be the hardest thing to do as a parent - own up to your child’s mistakes, lethal and permanent as they may be.
I’m sure that statement was courtesy of the Ward’s lawyer in the law suit for damages against Tony Stewart...
How long had Kevin been using pot?
How many other members of the team are/have been using pot?
How lucky are all the other competitors Kevin has raced against in the past ______ years that they were not injured by pot-loaded Kevin being in their midst?
Did the family know he was using pot?
Do other members of Kevin’s immediate family use pot?
How much time & money did this family spend to give their little darling a ‘chance at the big time’-—only to have this kind of disaster because the kid was IMPAIRED and didn’t belong anywhere near a racing event?
Where did the kid get the pot?
Who was his supplier?
Growing his own???
Did the family not pay any attention?
Anyone wonder why employers are giving drug tests???
Here is a perfect example.
The Ward family has to go home & quietly contemplate how & why their kid was driving IMPAIRED on drugs.
They also need to contemplate how they missed such actions by Kevin.
IF they decide to pursue a civil suit, Tony’s lawyers will have a field day digging up every speck of poor life style of this entire family & all of their friends.
How do you defend an offspring who is driving among others while IMPAIRED???
Shouldn’t they be apologizing profusely???
