stoners should not be allowed to have a DL.

First off let me preface this by saying I am against legalization.
My question to you is, what is your criteria for limiting a drivers license? Just occasional use? Getting caught driving while intoxicated?

DWI/DUI convictions usually include suspension or revocation of a drivers license. And rightfully so. I feel that a similar punishment should be implemented for pot and other driving while intoxicated situations

However revocation of a license in those states where recreational or medicinal pot is legal and the person has not driven while stoned would be draconian and unconstitutional on the face of it.

Kudos for not playing the popular game of nail-that-stoner.

There is where my problem with legalization comes in, there is not a test to determine level of influence as there is with booze/beer. If that hurdle were cleared I’d be open to considering it.

I would NEVER support “decriminalization” however as that would still keep all the negatives of the gangs, cartels, etc getting rich off the trade. Plus this is where it really becomes a gateway drug as since you are already breaking the law buying it and they guy has some other stuff....

If you have a “pot purchase permit” then you are not allowed to have a DL. It is one OR the other.
