You must not have been paying attention over the years.
Rush has always talked about his cats. He’s always talked about computers. He’s always talked about golf. He’s always talked about football.
And since he’s been on the air for 26 years and he’s won 5 Marconi awards, not sure that that qualifies as ‘umpteenth’ times.
To each his own but he sure seems to me to talk more and more about less and less. Yes, he’s talked about his cats etc. over the years but I’ve managed to tune it out but now it is just too much to tune out. His programs seem to me to be a waste of time, pretty much....just being honest. If you enjoy listening to all of that then by all means, go for it! I’m not trying to offend you. I think we have a lot in common. No one would be happier than me if he’d get back to basics. I’d probably be the first one in line to listen.
This is true. The difference for me is that the country is in such a dire situation that all that fluff is just drivel now.
I still try to listen once in a while but am always disappointed.
"Umpteen" is a number that lies between 0 and infinity........hope that helps....:)
True, but he used to spend a few minutes on these and then go on to the news of the day. Yesterday, for instance, he talked about NOTHING ELSE. He spent the whole three hours endlessly repeating the same drivel about not understand how Apple could download a new OS to packaged iPhones, and how feminists should deal with the NFL. Neither is "Cutting Edge" commentary. The fact that he took a number of calls on the topics indicates that the choices were intentional, not stream of consciousness.
