By your logic then caffeine doesn’t belong in you body.

How do you figure that? Our digestive system is designed by our creator to ingest and process many types of foods and liquids. Obviously some foods (raw, unprocessed) easier than others (refined/highly processed foods which are NOT good for us.)

As our hearts were designed to do one thing: pump blood throughout our body to sustain life, our lungs were similarly designed to do one thing: breathe in air, a life sustaining element and exhale Carbon Dioxide.

However we’ve discovered that mild stimulants like caffeine and nicotine are both pleasurable and useful in daily life.

At the end of the day, just because we can shove a bunch of crap in our stomachs and lungs doesn't mean we should. I should no sooner eat a three pound bag of potato chips in a day than I should smoke a pack of cigarettes. The human body wasn't designed to process either.

You’re free to be puritanical holier than thou about it, but no one likes a holier than thou jerk.

True that. Nor was I trying to be one, apologies if you thought I was coming off that way, that was the furthest thing from my intent.

I’ve quit vaping multiple times. It’s not hard. I’ve smoked cigars for years and quit smoking them without any issues. There’s something about cigarettes that makes them extra addictive to most people.

That's all the chemicals the cigarette companies put in them that they know are highly addictive and at the same time are carcinogenics. The in effect "spike" the cigarettes so you're literally hooked after the first few.

A woman I briefly dated about two months had quit smoking 30 years prior to my meeting her. I don't recall how we got on the topic of smoking after dinner one night however she mentioned she still missed her after dinner smoke after all these years. That's a powerful addiction indeed.

I've been off the cigarettes for 13 years now and the only time I get a craving is when I see someone smoke on the screen at a movie theater. I'm so glad I quit, except I find it hard to breath through my nose since I did.
