Absolutely agree. Even at my private club they've banned paper targets with human silhouettes or a picture of a bad guy. They say area home owners were afraid that the militia were training there.

I’m fortunate that I can get away with shooting in my back yard so I can be a little bit realistic. Typical pistol ranges are kind of a waste of time IMO.

Which begs the question, who are these homeowners? To whom are the militia a threat? Rioters, looters, blue helmets and out of control politicians come to mind.

When it comes to pistols, rather than pay club dues, you’re better off spending the money on a laser cartride and target system and practicing at home.

Some local ranges have a certain day and time when they allow practice on moving/multiple targets and drawing from the holster, but only with trainers there and that’s on THEIR schedule. And good luck finding a local night or low/light training option.
