Note that the rudder is chained to the stern. Apparently, the French aircraft carrier experience was instructive.

Too funny!
She is a beautiful ship. Considerably smaller design than the somewhat (17 years difference) USS Constitution tho. Too bad that, if they go to Boston next year, Constitution will be in drydock and they cant berth together for comparison pics. The pics from the recent visit of the Charles W Morgan there really showed just how big Constitution and the other Humphreys 44s were.
