I was in Boot Camp when all that went down, so I was lacking in any real news of it at the time. But I do remember what I was feeling about it back then. And, sad to say, I bought the enemedia’s lies. I was a different man back then.
I was a very stupid and naive man back then.
I am not sure that any of us got the truth.
Same thing happened after Sandy Hook School Shooting, and other massacre events: the anti-2nd Amendment onslaught by the DMB made a lot of people shut-up and cower initially, but after the facts came out, and 2A people regrouped, the NRA found its voice, we all became more vocal in our defense. I think it was the initial shock of the carnage which stunned many of us.

It took me a while too. My folks - well-meaning ppl with absolute faith in the authorities - haven’t been convinced even yet. Or the spark that can set off a wilding, a riot, right here in our bucolic area. I sorrow that my mother will not accept a weapon & training. Nevermind an attitude of healthy aggression... let’s call it being proactive... against our self-appointed betters.
