No, he did something with air traffic control systems. Now he does it in Pennsylvania as a civilian.
W00t!
Oops. :)
Nice to have a skill he could take with him when he escaped.
My brother had a very successful Air Force career for more than 20 years. He married a girl in England. He would have stayed in the Air Force and stayed in England, but our mother put a lot of pressure on him when Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
He and his wife seem to like Pennsylvania reasonably well. They ski and shovel snow.
Thrown off by the chants of “Eat at Joe’s” and “Enjoy the mint julep!”
I wonder if there is an implied “or else” in there.
I,remember walking around in the Shambles for hours. York is an incredible city,
They have evening walking tours which I recommend.
If you haven’t seen Jorvick, I recommend it. There are Vikings, but alas, no Viking kitties.
Poor baby, it must have felt good to romp around outside.
What breed is he?
Chanting......the trees by the Ouse where chanting something ,couldn't make out what.
I’m still here but I have no idea what I’m doing or what the topic is...
“no Viking kitties”
Lol, oh that will just not do, will have to remedy that one.
Thank you,We have the whole week’ so i’ll keep it in mind and let you know how it goes.
The Shambles was rather densely populated today. ugh.
Did you enjoy your Beer?
Topic? um....not located yet, still looking. :)
Still working on the beer...not as good as what I could find where you are, but close...
My Galileo says it’s 82 in here, and the Fitzroy Storm Glass http://www.bitsandpieces.com/product/historic_reproduction_storm_glass
says winds are in the offing. I need to move my glass barometer to this area of working...soon...
When I think of the Shambles, I think of a scene from Blackadder, where he pours the chamber pot out the window. You can see the parts of the sidewalk where the ummm would flow downstream,.
Ugh!
I’m so grateful for modern plumbing,
Please make sure you go to Betty’s for a cup of tea. It’s so British, it’s delightful. (And the pastries are yummy).
I also loved waking across the bridge over the River Ouse at night. It was so romantic.,
Tonight was several pints of “Black Sheep”. A watery Bitter with a fair kick to it.
That is an interesting looking bit of kit.
That and a mechanical dial barometer would make a useful setup.
“The Pooka of Yorkshire”?
pitbull
Sitting at work watching my camera system vomit nonsense data.
“red nose”?? pitbull
That area was used by Butchers in the old days, the combined smells must have been out of this world.
Will have to look for this Betty’s, ....Pastries!? i’ll find it.! :)
