No, he did something with air traffic control systems. Now he does it in Pennsylvania as a civilian.

My brother had a very successful Air Force career for more than 20 years. He married a girl in England. He would have stayed in the Air Force and stayed in England, but our mother put a lot of pressure on him when Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
He and his wife seem to like Pennsylvania reasonably well. They ski and shovel snow.

Thrown off by the chants of “Eat at Joe’s” and “Enjoy the mint julep!”
I wonder if there is an implied “or else” in there.

I,remember walking around in the Shambles for hours. York is an incredible city,
They have evening walking tours which I recommend.
If you haven’t seen Jorvick, I recommend it. There are Vikings, but alas, no Viking kitties.

The crowd approached carrying torches and pitchforks, the rabbit was trapped in Minster square only able the run around in circles as all the exits where blocked.
Suddenly a thought entered his Rabbit mind....there was a long processing delay.....”yes!” he thought.
“Hey look, The Chippys open!”
The crowd looked to where the Rabbit was pointing, into coffee yard by Stonegate.
With the crowd distracted, Woosh he was gone, off down Petergate as fast as his Rabbity legs could carry him......
Chanting......the trees by the Ouse where chanting something ,couldn't make out what.

When I think of the Shambles, I think of a scene from Blackadder, where he pours the chamber pot out the window. You can see the parts of the sidewalk where the ummm would flow downstream,.
Ugh!
I’m so grateful for modern plumbing,
Please make sure you go to Betty’s for a cup of tea. It’s so British, it’s delightful. (And the pastries are yummy).
I also loved waking across the bridge over the River Ouse at night. It was so romantic.,

Tonight was several pints of “Black Sheep”. A watery Bitter with a fair kick to it.
That is an interesting looking bit of kit.
That and a mechanical dial barometer would make a useful setup.
