I don’t know whether thomasthomas is writing poetry, philosophizing, having drink taken, insomniac, running on adrenaline ... but when I get up at 5:00 a.m Eastern and read his posts from the far off Pacific time zone, they have depth and resonance.

That's my motto.

Shannon is very upset about the gerbil-bathing. It’s very offensive to see animals that are supposed to be food being nurtured instead of handed over to the alpha predator.
And now Kathleen is calling the breakfast cereal “mousie snacks.”

So next time you visit, ‘Face, remember that when Kathleen says, “Mousie Snax with milk,” she wants Great Value Crunchy Oat Squares. With milk.

From Wikipedia:
"The several reasons for the popularity of gerbils as household pets include: The animals are typically not aggressive, and they rarely bite unprovoked or without stress. They are small and easy to handle, since they are sociable creatures that enjoy the company of humans and other gerbils and potholder loops.
I may have paraphrased that a little.

Among the critters who've lived in my house, 'mousie snacks' didn't mean cereal when you spoke about the red-tailed boa, pac-man frog, or bearded dragons.
Just sayin'.

I don’t know. It’s just one of the few jokes I know from my childhood. It always made my mom laugh.
The only dog I’ve ever stepped on was a hot dog that fell on the floor.

How wonderful for both of you! Congratulations on your puppies Fanfan.
Darksheare, your kittens sound adorable, it sounds like your girl has some Persian in her. I’ve never had kittens, the youngest cat I got at the shelter was 8 months.,
