Ya’ know, a funny thing happened on the way to the forum.

But that’s a tale for another time.

Hi Face,

Me and mine are well and overly vacationed.
What I learned from our vacation was:
That there was Ebola in Europe through African illegal aliens.
We pay a third for stuff compared to Europe because they tax people 300% for everything they buy, which is why most are skinny in Europe. They can't afford to eat IMO.
You can't easily get into St. Peter's anymore.
France and Italy hate handicapped elderly and will look at a person in a wheelchair like they are poop. Also most all bathrooms are NOT handicapped friendly and are almost always located in basements or above the first floor.

I could go on and on, but those were the basics.

Nekkid cameras, they have no tripods or flash attachment, no filter, and sit there all out in the open.
Scandalous camera!

My daughter and her family just spent ten days in Italy and France, both countries which I have never, EVER wanted to go to. I haven’t talked to her personally, but she was in Italy when she was in the navy, and raved about it, plus the trip to Paris she took with her boyfriend.

Had it been me, I would have chosen two other countries to visit instead of revisiting ones I’d already seen. *sheesh*

It’s good to hear from you, and I’m glad to you have taken some down time and went exploring! I hope it was a good experience for Mrs. Guy, and Guy, Jr!

I have a montage of baby penguins too.

Give me kittens, puppies, baby penguins, and bunnies. I melt. Baby animals are so squee, and wonderful.

I have one now of a bunny with a tiny backpack for his first day of school as my wallpaper. It’s too cute for words.

To: Darksheare; I Am Not A Mod; everyone

Am going to go hide again. Well if could hide would be welcomed at times. Love the thread and all the refreshments. That was a great catch by I Am Not A Mod. If ever was to ever think of being a Mod, which I don’t want because ... Mods have a tough tough job (and is why typed ‘tough’ twice) but if was ever to be a Mod would want to be one just like I Am Not A Mod. Kudos, I Am Not A Mod.

I heard that. I figured by your post that someone was not, but I’m too polite to pry. Being in a wheelchair is not fun.

To: Darksheare; All

I was going to post a link to KTNV.com for streaming weather, but it’s too busy. We’re getting about 3” of rain an hour in some places, and accidents are rampant, especially downtown. The freeways are death traps.

Nothing here to speak of, but the rest of the valley is getting slammed. The bad thing is that the water will be heading for Lake Mead by any route downhill, which means danger for the next several hours for the unwary.

Phoenix got it earlier, but now it’s our turn. Summer. Monsoons are unpredictable. They are supposed to be over with by now.

"Is THAT what this is?" ... (The Flying Castle)

"That explains why the toilets never get backed up.

LOOK OUT BELOW!!!!!!!"

(Jumping in here to respond to a post on the old thread.)

Mildly amusing concept, but not scientifically accurate.

The Flying Castle toilets took a lot of engineering to get right, and an incredible amount of rocket thrust maneuvering to keep functional in the face of possible zero-gee options.

Among other things, our castle, (yes, the Flying one!) is made of stacked stones without mortar, meaning that zero gee would allow it to come apart into a pile of rubble.

If you think that's bad, just consider what happens to a standard gravity dependent toilet when the gravity turns off!

Rather than redesign everything that was designed to work properly only in a constant gravity field, including our own precious bodies, we designed our habitats to provide artificial gravity so that everything could continue as normal.

It's worked for ten years, so why complain?
