Shimmer, certainly we will pray for your peace of mind and successful surgery. There are all kinds of cancer support groups, especially breast cancer.

Try to get in touch with your local cancer society. They can probably find a group near you, and thru that you may well find someone who will be happy to transport you from home to your docs an hour away. A friend of mine works extensively with a group in her area, and it’s absolutely amazing what they do.

You will probably be contacted by one of these groups while you’re in the hospital if you don’t reach out yourself, but I think I’d take the lead on that ... it will help you - and your nerves - as you head into the surgery.
