I don’t smoke but if CVS thinks it can prevent people from exercising their free will to smoke, a lot of folks like me will never set foot in one again. Not a boycott, but an exercise of free will.

CVS is looking long-term, thinking that there's more money to be made, down the road, by putting "Little Clinic" style health-care services into its stores. They're dropping cigs and tobacco products to make it easier for them to partner with the health care providers that will provide the staff for the clinic operations.
