Hey! Bacon is health food!
Say it in diamonds,
Say it in mink,
Never ever say it in ink.
I thought it was..
I break with thee
I break with thee
I break with thee
...and then you throw dog poop on her shoes.
Like the new word “bae” instead of “babe”or “baby”. People are so stupid.
Divorce American Style - with Dick Van Dyke and Debbie Reynolds (1967). It was played on one of the movie channels - I think Encore as there were no commercials - within the past year or so.
A Guide for A Married Man (1967) was Walter Mathau’s with Inger Stevens who died fairly young (35). This one plays on occasion on TCM.
Both have some classic lines, and capture some of the social essence of the 1960s.
Is that were bae comes from? I had no idea.
Craigslist
Casual Encounters
OMG.
Yeah. It’s pretty stupid.
Think about Lorena Bobbet.
could write the same article for cheating women too.
why anyone thinks the solution to having problems with one person, is to ADD another person in, they just are not thinking.
I hate to use this expression, but TMI.
I’ve been married for less than a year, and if I got cheated on it would hurt. A lot.
Now I’ve got that silly Carrie Underwood revenge song running through my head:
“I dug my key into the side of his pretty little souped-up four-wheel-drive, carved my name into his leather seats. Took a Louisville Slugger to both headlights, slashed a hole in ALL FOUR TIRES, maybe next time he’ll think before he cheats. I may have saved a little trouble for the next girl, because the next time that he cheats it won’t be on me.”
I love that song. Carrie Underwood is singing as the ultimate Woman Scorned.
My son uses that term to refer to his wife. They are happily in love, it's meant to be funny, not degrading, and he loves being married.
“Wifey,” is apparently a term popular with 18-25 year old girls.
Wow, that’s a new one on me! Bae! *sigh*
Sigh indeed. My bride of 37 years is referred to by me as just that, my bride.
“A Guide for A Married Man (1967) was Walter Mathaus with Inger Stevens who died fairly young (35). This one plays on occasion on TCM.”
Yes, “A Guide For A Married Man” is the movie which I had in mind. Thank you!
I also remember that Inger Stevens committed suicide.
It sounds like your wife should be using her powers for good, as part of some elite crime-fighting organization, or something. ;-)
Although not all women have noses quite that sharp, you can bet that they're all able to sense that signature combo of cheap booze, cotton candy and despair (more commonly known as "Eau du Strip Club".)
I absolutely detest these new phrases.
