I suppose this would be seen over the Eastern edge of Pendleton, but it was awfully high up in the air and did not remind me of a typical “flare” that I am familiar with when I was in the military as it was way too high and moving very fast, and I can't imagine any known artillery putting an object up to that elevation, but I suppose I would be the first to say that I don't know everything! :)

perhaps someone associated with Pendleton could explain why there was a training exercise on Sunday night of a 3 day weekend - gung ho Commander who didn’t want some military folks to get a holiday break?
