It is nice to have the house at 77 instead of 95. Much easier to go to and stay asleep. I am hoping this system is more efficient over the long haul. They recommended I put in an attic fan, for about $150, to ease the workload on the unit up there and pull off some heat so I plan to have that done before next summer.
Attic fans are a must for me-I think they make a difference in the energy bills just by venting some of that heat out of the attic in the summer.
I intend to put a whole house fan in the nest I build-maybe two-the last house did not have them because the design was not compatible-the upstairs was too closed off-but the house before that did, and it was great.
