No, yell it right as he’s swinging.....
Yeah, you’re right...he shouldn’t be warned.
I would face 3 Rotts or Pitts before I’d face a Dobe who was pissed off.
Their classic dart-in-bite-dart-out-repeat is almost impossible to stop.
They’re not “on” you long enough to get hold of them and it’s like being helplessly ripped apart, one piece at a time.
That poor broken puppy is nothing like my Euro Dobes.
They will not tolerate abuse, from me or anyone else.
All I’d ask is 10 minutes of him “kicking” my dogs.
It was HIS dog.
The RSPCA confiscated the dog from *him*.
The dog is described as displaying classic symptoms of long term abuse.
She is currently in the vet hospital for her physical injuries and will face long term rehabilitation for her emotional wounds.
A preparatory power-gathering crouch before lunging looks somewhat like an anticipatory cringe.
Why ruin the surprise?
:)
When I came out of the shop after a ride tonight, Seven was in the yard to greet me.
She’s been in a crazy/giddy/slap happy mood, all day.
Lots of “lawn shark” dive-bomb boot grabbing, strafing runs and and pant leg shaking.
Happy am I that she loves me.
If Seven did, theoretically, meet the guy, I doubt she’d need an explanation from anyone about what he’d done.
Dogs, as a rule, are excellent judges of character.
She’d tell instantly that he wasn’t fit to scoop her poop.
The default warning in that case is “Hey, God put me on this Earth to take care of the animals and do right by them.
In short, it’s called a conscience.
His is burnt to a crisp.
Frankly, she’s not a people person at all.
Some folks, she instantly adores but they’re few and far between.
She lacks Odin’s civility almost entirely.
He shields me from ne’er do wells by pushing me away from them, giving them a sporting chance to just go away.
She charges out to challenge them, head on, with no fear and no mercy.
Night and day.
She’s one freaky little girl.
:D
OK,
The few Dobermans that I knew were all ‘cupcakes’, same with all the Rottweilers that I have had and known. OK well one of my Rotts was a family dog but if she didn’t like someone, then that person would not come around...
I despise all abuse but I know I’m seriously over-personalizing this one.
I simply cannot get over how much she looks like my sweet angel, Halla.
Just for that, I would give half of everything I have, just for an hour with him.
Someone should pay dearly for what poor. messed up Halla had to go through and this bastard, demon skinwalker will do just fine.
[and yeah, I went fairly crazy when she died and I’m not likely to “get over it” in this lifetime]
:(
I have had the breed for 40+ years, most of them were rescues and “American Dobes”.
I switched to Euro Dobes five years ago and my whole paradigm shifted.
Yes, many American Dobes are sweet, loving “cupcakes”.
The two I have now are pure Devil’s Food.
Odin is about 60% Euro and he is the one who is much more reasonable and sociable, his American blood having tempered him somewhat.
Seven is 100% Euro from the finest ScH lines and she is a relentless, merciless, fierce warrior.
All but about 10 of her ancestors in a 5 generation pedigree are titled Sch/IPO/Korang.
Odin is very “warm” but she is what is termed “hot”.
If I had to choose one to chomp that bastard, I’d send her in.
Kicking or hitting her just makes her madder.
99% of Pits and Rotts I’ve met were big fuzzy bunnies.
I just met a Pit named Brooklyn a couple days ago and I found her ‘sweet spot’ above her tail and she just crumpled.
She kept coming back and begging for more.
She was a wonderful dog and her person loved her dearly.
It kinda choked me up to see a big, hairy WV biker wax so poetic over his dog.
:)
There is nothing like the innocent, unfakeable love of an animal, IMO.
You’re exactly right.
I remember those days...and the prayer thread for her.
I don’t think it’s unreasonable at all, Sal, to see such a thing happen to an animal that reminds you of one of your own, and take it to heart...it would be really hard NOT to, IMO.
When it comes to animals, personally I’m not always rational...my emotion takes over. Can’t help it; I’ve always been that way, and I’m not going to change at this date. I figure, well, I’m a female; I have a right to be emotional.
If that argument fails, “sue me” works fine for me. ;)
OK, I think that Seven would be an appropriate candidate to rip the stuffing out of our subject dirtbag. Let’s get started!
No, there is not.
To me, they show a glimpse of what the love God must be like.
It’s crazy how someone who was with you for such a short time can leave such a gaping hole.
I hope little Sade finds new people who will make her forget the terror that has been her whole life, up ‘til now.
Now, if we could only make it happen!
:)
You should see what’s going on in the Doberman forums.
*Lots* of “volunteers” wanting to take this piece of trash out.
What difference does it make if it was his puppy or a friend’s? Why would anyone be kicking a puppy?
I bet there will be people lining up to adopt her and spoil her rotten.
