I started watching it years ago because a guy I knew from high school was on it. I got hooked. I love the editing, where they always get some chooch to talk about how he has the game wrapped around his finger right before he gets voted off. And I love the truly batsass crazy people they find. Rocker should be fun if he lasts.
Agreed. After 28 seasons, it still entertains.
With cameras everywhere and with the necessity of producing a compelling storyline, I don’t mind the staging at all. In literature, it’s known as the “willing suspension of disbelief.”
They screen for strong, charismatic, and annoying characters to keep the show from being boring, but no amount of staging can control each season’s new mix of personalities and abilities.
My favorite contestant is Bob the bow-tied science teacher. The most unlikely winner ever (until Cochran).
