When I had little kids traveling with me, I made sure we sat where no one was in front of us so they wouldn’t kick anyone. If you have a problem with people reclining, then you should try the same thing.

I will also add that you might want to change airlines. I traveled on Virgin America for the first time last week and was amazed at how much leg room and larger more comfier seats than American. I will try to go on Virgin more often!

Have you looked at Spirit Airlines. Supposedly they don’t have reclining seats.

Yes, I do think. I try to get a window seat and I recline, so I can sleep on planes.

I was also always thoughtful when my kids were little. My kids never screamed (I gave them a bottle at take off and landing), and I made sure they never kicked other passengers. I took snacks, playdoh, and other activities for them. People use to comment about how well-behaved my kids were.

I never got to recline and sleep when I traveled with them, and maybe that is why I like to sleep now. It’s my break from 3 teenagers!
