Either ban them completely or allow unfettered use of them. Don’t ask someone who is using it to remove it. Why is the front passenger’s right to recline any more important than the rear passenger’s right to not have his space infringed upon?

Let's see. How about because the person who wishes to recline the seat paid for the seat and has every right to recline in the seat if they wish.

I have a gate for sale for people like you. You can latch it between the two aisle seats and prevent people from walking back and forth hitting you with their elbows. Also allows you to stick your feet out into the aisle without worry.
