Its a myth, all of it.

Actually, people don't kill themselves in war over myths.

There seems to be a built in or hardwired need for God/gods in humans since the beginning of recorded history. Hence the relative ease with which some huckster can convince them that he has the way.

Islam's staying power has much to do with the fact that it is probably designed by Satan (yep, evil actually does exist too).

That said, someone spreading the Truth is going to encourage his followers to examine it--test it--to make sure it is True.

Islam actually forbids its followers from examining it.

==========================================

I didn't find that true the five years that my husband and I lived in Saudi Arabia.

---------------------------------------

HOWEVER, I DID upset a Muslim woman once in the international airport, Frankfurt, Germany.
ALL the seats in the waiting/transit lounge were taken except one, next to a fatso Muslim woman. I knew she was Saudi because we had ALL gotten onto the same flight to Frankfurt from Dhahran (KSA) Airport. And THAT seat next to her had a book on it. It was a Koran.

I asked her to move it so I could sit down as I was very tired. She ignored me. I asked her again and she still ignored me. I KNEW she understood me because my body language was EXQUISITELY clear.

SO...I made out like I was going to SIT DOWN ON THE KORAN.
Lol. She almost had a fit. I told her: "Either move it or I sit on it."

She moved it.
:o) I enjoyed that, after I was refreshed from sitting down for a few minutes. Selfish ole bag.

I turned and looked at her, with a short head-shake, MORE than once, JUST to show her that I didn't feel bad AT ALL about what I said/did.
