And I mean real action and standing up. As an example, not dog and pony crap like using the National Guard unarmed to man the border and do paperwork.
What of the lauded call by Texas of the National Guard to secure the border? nothing?
The only way this will stop is exactly that: “boots on the ground” at the border. Governors must exercise their right to call out the troops and direct them to act for “the security of a free state”, having the intestinal fortitude to solve the problem. If that means drawing a line _behind_ the US Border Patrol (”you guys do your job, we’ll do ours”), then that’s it.
One problem: the Obama has the power to “call out the National Guard”. If a state sends their NG to the border, POTUS will - if nothing else - send ‘em all to Iraq or some such. Hence my continued bafflement of officially disarmed “State Guard” (as in GA).
