Darwin says the human eye evolved ... like everything else we know. This was in his book “Origin of Species”.

It is, however, entirely reasonable to point out that Darwin professed himself stumped as to how life originated, as opposed to how it evolved into so many different forms.

IOW, those who claim Darwinism can be used to address the origin of life, much less the origin of the universe, are just ignorant of his thought.
