Thanks for posting that. If Rose ever makes it in before he dies, we’ll know that it was a political decision, not based on the Hall of Fame’s own stated criteria.
Of course, these days, sadly, nothing is done by the books anymore. Our institutions are now oh so progressive.

Knowing Charlie Hustle, he was all about winning and the Reds were red with his Blood and sweat. He was always trying to win and Pete would never bet against the Reds.
I love people who are so sanctimonious here. They didn’t play for half their adult life like Pete, they didn’t play hurt, they didn’t do anything but sit on their recliner and watch Pete rack up the records HE EARNED.
The fact he isn’t in this HALL of FAME means its a HALL of SHAME, missing one of its brightest stars.
Sports teams are owned by some shady people, look at Sterling, and I remember Steinbrenner was in trouble with the law and was suspended by baseball.
No Pete never took a dive, he wouldn’t do that, if you think he did you never competed where winning was everything you ever wanted.
Pete deserves his due. Anyone with an ounce of Judgement would say he has served his sentence for lying. But with the cast of Baseball crooks he is a minor leaguer compared to them that have sat in power over him.
