Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer (Ret.) is a CIA-trained former senior intelligence officer and he says that the rescue operation for American journalist James Foley wasn’t successful because President Obama “dragged his feet”.
"Thursday morning, Shaffer appeared on WMAL radio in Washington, D.C., to discuss the ISIS execution of American journalist James Foley earlier this week. He told me and co-host Brian Wilson that the recently revealed rescue attempt led by Special Forces earlier this summer failed because President Obama was slow to give the go-ahead:
I’m hearing from my friends in the Pentagon, they are giving him every single option way ahead of time. And let me give you a little secret here: The reason that raid into Syria failed to get Foley and those guys was because the president drug his feet. He waited too long, the intel got stale, and by the time we actually gave the “go” word it failed because we just didn’t react quick enough."

It didn’t help that Foley was being held by groups that Obama described as our friends and that we were going to send money, arms and troops to support. You know, like guys who cut the hearts out of their victims and eat them.
Well, Foley and likely his family voted for Obama. Look what you get, a rusty knife painfully decapitating you. Congratulations Obama. You are a loser.

it failed b/c obama deliberately was slow in giving the go-ahead. obama didn’t want his muslim brothers killed or a white journalist saved.

Probably deliberate. The PR gains from a successful op are temporary and come from GOP supporters who don’t vote for Democrats anyway. A Desert One-style disaster will KO his presidency, the way it did Carter’s. That is presumably why he dragged his feet on Benghazi. Better no rescue op than one that goes down in flames, killing dozens of GI’s.
Makes a sane person believe a message had to be sent ... Why else drag feet? If true someone has this information in the Secret Service.
