This is my last post to this thread. May I offer your wife my sympathies. Knowing the family makes it even more difficult to deal with.

Just so sad.

I definitely feel for them. I cannot imagine the horror they must be living, probably for the rest of their lives. Our leaders, who “never let a crisis go to waste”, if they were true Americans, would use this slaughter to galvanize the country against these monsters. Instead we get a weak tea response from the golf nut.

my wife attends church with the Foley family.

I just saw his father on tv saying, "The conflict in the Middle East is a stain on humanity."

What he means by that is that the existence of Israel is "a stain on humanity".

He means but is too gutless to say that if the Jews were simply driven into the sea, the world would be rid of a stain, and a much much happier place.

No one---NO ONE---who is a supporter of Israel would speak in such terms about the Middle East. We who do support Israel and despise its enemies (and their fellow travelers, like the Foleys) know exactly what the stain is.

Its name is Mohammed.
