Then you haven’t been following the African news sites. One nurse in Liberia contracts the disease, recognizes the symptoms but doesn’t go immediately into quarantine, stays home for several days. After she dies in the hospital, her husband, in hysterics, goes to the home of the nurse’s brother, a government official. A few days later that official travels to a conference in Nigeria and becomes the 1st case in Nigeria. Over the past weekend, ten people who had contact with him, including nurses who cared for him, have died as has that official.
Far better to quarantine suspected cases NOW and anyone who has had contact with them, then deal with the easily spread disease.
