Handles 3" high brass with no complaint.

That's it on the left, just to the right of the door out of the kitchen, hanging conveniently. Before my kids got older, I mounted a pair of bicycle hooks inside my bedroom closet, above the door. Just reach up, grab, and rack the slide. The gun was out of sight unless you went into the closet and looked up. Something like below.
