while you are at Cabelas , I strongly recommend you look at the IWI Tavor as an option.

Standard issue for the Israeli Defense Forces and hey have found it quite effective for home invasions of all sorts

Way more compact than a shot gun, well balanced and the best close quarters weapon I have ever used.

Can be taken out of the house too. Fits nicely into a tennis bag (w/ CCW, of course) and is a serious motivational tool for drivers prone to road rage and the like.

Very low recoil and works well with 40 round magazines . Very popular with the ladies of the IDF
