Same thing kinda happens with Android apps from Amazon.
If your network connection is not active, apps will sometimes complain that Amazon could not be reached, then they shut down.
Don”t know about Google, but a lot of the Amazon apps come packed with spyware. They can’t make money if you don’t let them have their way with your data.
