Social media was buzzing on the night of August 11th when several people managed to snap photographs of what appeared to be an oval-shaped craft in the sky over Houston during stormy weather.
Some of the images showed the object, which seemed to have a single point of light in its center, situated in the foreground with dark storm clouds looming menacingly behind it. The disc was pictured from several angles by different witnesses and seemed to change position in the air multiple times.
"The more people who see it in different directions, the more likely we are to figure out where it is, what it is and see if we can explain it," said Dr. Carolyn Sumners of the Houston Museum of Natural Science. "All the way back to recorded history, there are going to be things we can't explain. That's what makes it exciting."

How about a sighting where the witnesses experience physical burns and later die of cancer?

Of course, maybe it was deliberate. What better way to reach your constituents than hover over them with a "get out the vote" message?

OK, so I was driving home with my kids and something flew over our car. It was huge. And I, swear to Gd, saw a pterodactyl. Both of the kids saw it as well.
This haunted me. I mean, it *really* got to me.
After a few months, I let it go. I had told my husband and my friends about this and they believed me (us) because they knew me.
A year later we were having a BBQ and the kids came screaming inside. They drug me into the yard where my husband and several of our friends were relaxing. All of the adults were stunned. A freaking pterodactyl just flew over the house. Jet black. Massive wingspan.
They were all looking at me, as if I’d have any answers.
It took me a few years before I figured it out. We were directly in the migratory path of the great blue heron. The heron flies with its legs behind it and gives the impression of the pterodactyl’s tail. Fro underneath, with the light hitting it just right and only seeing its silhouette, it looks just like a stupid pterodactyl.
I don’t think that the majority of people are lying. I just think that things play tricks with their eyes. My mother and I once saw a ‘cloaked’ ship. It was massive and wavered the air just like a cloaked ship on Star Trek. I’m convinced that we saw a strange weather phenomena. My eyes insist that we saw a cloaked ship. My rational mind tells me that there must be a rational explanation.
I’m still baffled by the Phoenix lights and the lights over Mexico city. There is enough evidence that there’s more going on than swamp gas, but we can’t trust our eyes to tell us the truth.
I hear you.
“UFO” poking through a dimension, perhaps, even from a spiritual realm.
Wasn’t the Perseid meteor showers starting about then?
