Rick Perry’s potential 2016 GOP rivals on Saturday rushed to the Texas governor’s defense in the wake of his indictment on allegations of abusing his office.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Gov. Bobby Jindal (R-La.) and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush all came out in strong defense of Perry, who on Saturday said he would fight the “farce” indictment.
Cruz, who previously served as a top lawyer for the Lone Star state, blasted the prosecution as “politically motivated” and lit into what he deemed as the “sad history” of the prosecutors, a reference to previous legal efforts aimed at Texas Republicans.
Like Rust, Perry-haters never sleep.

When asked about my tagline the Perry faithful never fail to amuse. Some say context matters. As if there was any context wherein praising the beast for her horrendous performance at State would be acceptable. But what are they going to say when faced with the fact that their halfwit governor lacks the ability to prevent putting his foot in his mouth. The man is a dumbass.

Been following the thread of posts/ripostes on this one. Good to see another idiot like me trying to spread some commonssense and being undeterred by those who are just as blindered as those they claim to despise. Stay strong.
I have asked that all Texas Freepers contact their state senator and representative to initiate legislation to remove prosecutory powers of this nature from the Travis County DA's office and move them to the Texas AG, where it belongs. Enough is Enough!!!!!!
Even the local dims think this was a bad idea for the Travis County Dumb Ass to do this so close to the election. windy davis is already over 15% behind in the polls and this will add to Greg Abbot’s lead.
This is nothing but political payback from the DA’s office because Perry was doing HIS job. I hope the State office holders do their job and remove the public integrity unit from the DA’s office and give it to the State AG office.

This is already majorly backfiring on the Dmes. Perry is going to come out of this smelling like a rose. I look for the charges to be quietly dropped very soon.
