Just because someone is unarmed doesn’t mean they aren’t a dangerous person. Guns are not the only thing that kill people. Thousands die every year from bludgeoning with various objects, even just hands and feet. To me the “unarmed” part of this story doesn’t mean much until we hear the rest of the story.
There are many facts that we do not know. It is obvious from watching the news that the local populace blames the cops for some of their problems. I am so damn tired of people who blame others, play victim, think they are owed, and; then they go out and riot, burn, loot, shoot etc. Why do I only see blacks rioting and looting stores? Who taught them that it was OK to smash windows and destroy a business or businesses and/or personal property and just take what they want? I recall Ft Bragg in late 67 and very early 68 before RVN, and; even SF company grade officers and NCO’s were doing riot training. We were never called up. The 82nd was called up. We were told if we were called to leave our berets at home. Both Newark and Detroit found out it was best not to riot.
