An elderly woman's home was raided by police after she was suspected of making anonymous online threats against the Evansville police department and Chief Billy Bolin.
The 68-year-old woman, Louise Milan was in the house with her 18 year old adopted daughter when police shattered a glass door and burst in after throwing flash grenades inside.
Police came up empty-handed in the search for evidence about who had made the threatening posts but only after damaging Louise Milans house, handcuffing her and her adopted daughter and seizing their computers, according to a lawsuit that has been filed against the city of Evansville.
The FBI later arrested Derrick Murray, a suspected local gang leader who lived nearby in his mothers house and was using his smartphone to access the Milan's unsecured wireless network.
City attorneys contend that the force used to execute the search warrant, was objectively reasonable and that officials are immune from liability.
And what response does Billy Bolin deserve for threatening and attacking citizens?
The direction things are headed now, it may. And it could get you a bulled in the back for “resisting”.
Total violation of civil rights and the 1st Amendment.
Maybe when we have these jack booted thugs swear to defend the constitution we should make them first read it aloud...in English.
No, it is the police running wild. It's the rank and file and their unions. It's the thug who shoots the dog or burns the baby.
He has an address. Just saying.
This is insane.
Certainly, but I put most of it on the ones carrying out the thuggery. It’s like the disaster at GM. Management is not blameless, but the unions are primarily responsible.
JFC! Listen to these a-holes at the end of the video. They enjoyed every minute of it.
We have the JBT category for the jack-booted thugs but lets not forget the judge who rubber-stamps the warrants.
Or the kiss-ass citizens, many right here on FR, that support all of this.
The cops would never get warrants to play w/ their newest toys if not given leave by judges. Yes, its the cops tossing the flash bangs but its the judges giving ‘permission’ under the guise of law.
Here’s one of the many on FR.
“How do the police know for sure that she was the one making threats? Could it be some hackers testing out their skills at getting other people’s computers to do stuff remotely?”
Yes, I saw your second post. But the truth is, pigs don’t even care. To them, screw ups like this doesn’t matter. It isn’t them, or theirs. We’re just statistics to them, not people, citizens, or who they are supposed to be serving.
That lack of concern for causing harm to innocent people is one of the reasons I have zero respect for LE anymore, and openly rooted for Dorner.
“This is coming to your town.
It may be there already, just waiting.”
That is what most cops supporters don’t understand. This level of excess probably already exists in their town, they just haven’t been the victim of it yet. Thus, they arrogantly don’t care.
Interesting that the POPO went after the path of least resistance. And it serves as a warning to other elderly folks. Not only don’t trust the POPO, but make plans for their house to be assaulted for no good reason.
Damn shame that they will have to defend their homes against the bad guys and the “good” guys.
Bingo.
“JFC! Listen to these a-holes at the end of the video. They enjoyed every minute of it.”
I didn’t even realize there was video until you mentioned it. You are dead correct. This wasn’t LE activity. This was a thrill seeking adventure for them.
And they can not be trusted to be professional at anything. If they were, they’d know to check the wi-fi status and see it is open. If they had checked, they’d know who they were dealing with, and question their assumptions.
Come right out and say it, then. Or could it be that some of us are trying to determine HOW it is broke in order to fix it. Really fix it and not just rail at it. Watch the broad brush, sport.
