and actions before police shot the unarmed teen dead
Mr Johnson said that he and Brown were walking home from a store when the cop told them to get out of the street and 'get the f***' on to the sidewalk'....
The friend said the officer threw open the door which slammed closed again after bouncing off Brown. It was then that the officer grabbed his friend by the neck.
'The time frame was 60 seconds or less, it got out of hand really quickly.'
Johnson said that the officer had drawn his gun by this time and threatened to shoot Michael.
'I seen the fire come out of the barrel,' he told the network. 'I could see so vividly what was going on because I was so close.'
Johnson said the first time the officer fired, he and Brown got scared and ran away but he could already see that the teenager had blood coming down his shirt where he had been shot.
The 22-year-old ducked behind a car but Brown kept running.
'He shot again, and once my friend felt that shot, he turned around and put his hands in the air, and he started to get down,' Johnson said.
The 22-year-old said: '[Brown] stopped, turned with his hands up and said ''I dont have a gun, stop shooting!'' 'But the officer still approached with his weapon drawn and fired several more shots.'
The eye-witness said despite the teenager's protests, the officer shot again, hitting Brown and leaving him on the ground.
The 22-year-old spoke to MSNBC on Tuesday alongside his attorney, and former St Louis' mayor, Freeman Bosley Jr.

People tend to live their lives in patterns. Violent people tend to do violent things and nonviolent people tend to do violent things. What kind of record did this kid and cop have?
If the kid has a nonviolent criminal record, he’s probably not going to resort to trying to grab the cop’s gun. Most cops, who would resort to murder, have a disciplinary record that would indicate a problem cop and this act wouldn’t be the first time he has done something of this nature.
“The lawyer said that he has offered police the opportunity to interview his client about Saturday’s tragic events but they have declined to take it.
Mr Bosley said: ‘They didn’t even want to talk to him. They dont want the facts. What they want is to justify what happened ... “
Like I’ve said, cops aren’t interested in real investigations of other cops. There is no way a real investigator would NOT DEMAND to question the guy, even if they didn’t trust him.
There were 12 shells scattered around the scene and multiple bullet holes in the kid as he lay on the ground dead 35 feet from the police vehicle and the only person with his hand on a gun was the cop.
That’s what WE know.
Perhaps you can tell us what more WE need to know.
Missouri wants Freeman Bosley Jr.'s law license suspended for two years
My hope is that, with all the cell phones out there, enough video evidence can be collected that a reasonably accurate story, can be put together.
I also wonder what they said to the cop.
You can bet it wasn't just a matter of, "explaining to the officer they were almost home."
I've lived in places where walking slooooooooowly in, or across, the street is some sort of passive aggressive game. It is frustrating as hell and the police should try to stop it and keep order.
To go from that activity to a dead 18 year old in the matter or "60 seconds or less" is beyond comprehension.
Something went horrible wrong and I fear we will never know the truth.
You would need to know happened, that is what
This is a very ambiguous situation, profoundly different from Martin/Zimmerman, where it’s crystal clear that Martin was a wannabe murderer who got exactly what he deserved. The reported shooting at a 25 foot distance raises a real murder issue. The cops have some seriious explaining to do.
I seriously doubt that those words were ever spoken.
I'm curious why.
Where’s the dash-cam video?
That means nothing — every lawyer in St Louis should lose their license for 2 years or more.
From what I’ve heard there are other witnesses and their stories don’t match this guys, his is the one different story.
The jackboots are out tonight.
Not excusing the looting, that has nothing to do with what happened, and I am very sorry to see the Race Industry come rushing into this situation, but the fact is, this cop was wrong and deserves to go to jail for murder even under his version of events, which is very likely a lie.
So why would the LEO not have already interviewed him while they had him in custody if for no more reason than he would be a material witness?Call me a skeptic...
OK. You're a skeptic...that didn't even read the article.

Don’t worry. His record will be ‘confidential’. No need for the public to know anything about the professional history of a guy who holds the power of life, death, and all that.
Trust me, if he has a list of complaints about violence, they aren’t going to easily let that get out.
But you are correct. The worst cops always have a trail that has been ignored.
PD has it but never installed it.
This was not a Harvard graduate. If words were spoken, they would have sounded much different.
Someone is making up their own facts.
This cop doesn’t stand a chance (what with all these “witnesses “) no matter WHAT happened.
Eh, I’m of Irish descent and some people might find me somewhat dramatic. And I can rant with the best of them, if I do say so myself.
Of course I don’t read or watch the MSM, I’ve read these stories here and elsewhere in the conservative/libertarian corners of the internet.
I doubt the MSM even covers any of these stories unless the decedent is black or gay or illegal.
