Democrats for the longest time have treated kids as a competition for the disposable income that families have, essentially competing with the government for that disposable income. So they discouraged having kids.
Now they’re finding out that without kids, there are no future tax payers. They’re realizing that kids are not an expense, but an investment in the future. At least some of them are. But since politics are short-term, I am not expecting the policies to change.
The creators of Obamacare were expecting young working people to pick up the tab. Fewer young people means fewer tax “slaves.”
