Dr. Thomas Frieden in charge of the CDC in 2009. This was the same time the controversy (politics) began when they moved to have gun control efforts expanded to the CDC.
The NIH went south many years ago with the politicalization of AIDS research. During my Wife's Fellowship there, you could not get a research grant unless it had "AIDS" in the proposal. The HHS was politicalized long before that.
The CDC had respect and earned trust up until the election of Obama. Now they have destroyed it like everything else they touch.
My Wife became both sick and bewildered by the CDC Teleconference. They are going to get many medical workers killed and/or precipitate a mutiny in healthcare.
