Sad and scary - they will regret it

do you know I just now realized that the wedding is one month from today and I just felt my tension ratchet up commensurately! she has everything under control, is way more anal-retentive than I am. she’s not nervous or worried and I wasn’t either until I had that realization. oh and she emailed this AM that she wanted one of those wooden MR & MRS signs for the sweetheart table, so I went on amazon and found something but my feeling is like, ok, we are done now with thinking of this stuff, we are just going to go with what we have. the photog is coming down from Philly to ANCC this weekend to meet with them and scope out the venue.

I start having PTSD when you talk about the wedding....looking back at how I needed to be in four places at once. I know my daughter felt like it was all on her shoulders but I felt like I was running to catch up all the time. I need to go take an advil.....

and I don’t even feel like that! having a day-of planner has taken a tremendous load off. I know you mentioned that you thought that would be helpful and I took it to heart and planned to ask one of my friends to do it, but xshub actually was the one to press for a professional to do it. He has meeting planners who work for him and he knows what goes in to having an event go off without a hitch. I fought it for awhile but I am so glad I gave in on it. It’s more just the IDEA of it than anything in particular that has me worked up.

Absolutely if it is in the budget it is worth it! I would do it if we were in that position again - having family and friends in town, plus helping get things/people to and from was a nightmare that would have been cut in half, at least, with someone handling those things.

Many of us are so disgusted
That everything is drifting
Polls show that the attitude
Of the put-upon is shifting

We are in an interregnum,
And have been for awhile-
With a CIC and his spouse
Whose first concern is style

A speech here, an order there
Wagyu beef at $100.00 a pound
To feed clueless diplomats
While the ship runs aground...

I don’t want him impeached-I want him fired like any other outrageously underperforming CEO would be-vulnerable to lawsuits, and without benefits...

A+++
Very poetic poetry. And hard to argue with the sentiment. Good job!

Thank you!

The fired-in-disgrace sounds good for Obama, so public and career ruining, especially with legal fees. It recently was the fate of a former employer-he brought the whole company down-took him 14 years, and I’m surprised, but it couldn’t happen to a more deserving person-Dios los castigan...

It was like an American Idol audition. Lots of waiting around, not even a water fountain in sight, people I met who had been there since 8 am. Or as I would call it, How Not to Run a Job Fair.

Being ranked the number 1 party school wasn’t bad enough?

I agree with you 100%. This guy is not bona fide and no one has seen any proof of his birth, his school records, his passport, you name it.

I could care less about those rankings if you have a kid who wants to party they will party at any school. This is insidious and dangerous to have Muslims reaching out to the poor and disaffected blacks in the area where this mosque is. Ironic too given the big % of Jewish students at SU also.
