Probably. Check Utilizer’s posts on this thread; he’s getting Malware warnings in Firefox.

It’s very disconcerting that Google’s tentacles are so deep that they can stop another company’s browser (Firefox, in this case) by their say-so.

Makes me wonder how deep they are into the web, and if they could shut lots of people down with the flick of a switch, no matter what browser you use.

Travis: I think you were looking in the wrong area when you postulated the possibility of a ‘second internet’. Google was able to shut down (or at least slow down) access to a website even with a competitor’s browser. Think ahead to the next level and what they could achieve.
