WATERLOO, Iowa — A former Waterloo teacher, and coach, has been accused of sexually abusing a student.
Thirty-two-year-old Daniel Ankrum is charged with one count of sexual exploitation by a school employee.

I’m not certain of this, part of it is the instant communication and publicity. Back in the day, everyone involved (including the police in a smaller town) would bury it and someone would move “because of a new job opportunity”. But these days, everyone kisses and tells. At least, this is what I am hoping, or, maybe this is just magical thinking on my part.
In the old days where I lived sometimes the teachers and students got married.
Yep. I knew an 18 year old who married her teacher, age 30 or so. They had been bangin' for a year or two by then.
