Even back then, I can remember my mom saying that she thought Richard Chamberlain was gay. Her ‘gaydar’ was pretty strong. LOL!

Lonesome Dove is going down as a unique American Gothic (whatever the hell that means).
It has a timeless feel to it. I watch it whenever I steal the remote from the wife and channel surf for a bit. There are certain parts that are my favorites, but the whole thing is such a compelling piece of work.

Speaking of Churchill, Albert Finney as Churchill in “The Gathering Storm” was amazing....It’s one of my favorite all-time movies.

I didn’t like Roots either. There was not one white person that was trustworthy. They would appear to befriend the slave, and then would turn on them. It did nothing for race relations except to make them worse.

Cannot comment, do not own a TV. Gosh - they're really inexpensive these days. We may have one in the garage that you can have.

Masada was good but Peter OToole completely dominated the show.Peter O'Toole was a genius.

And, if 24 is considered a miniseries, no others need apply. If 24 is in then "Mad Men"is in too.

Oh that was so good! Thanks for reminding me of it! I’m going to look for it.

I refuse to even own one, not even a similitude of one— which makes no sense. A TV, a cable connection, an Internet connection, suddenly that is serious money. I have however posted a real tagline. Don't look!

Windsor War; Shogun; Centennial; if you can tolerate its syrupy plot Thorn Birds and North & South.
I could barely tolerate Roots at the time but couldn't choke it down now, not with the Jeffersons in the W. House!
