"When I was about 8, I cringed when my five year old brother asked an elderly friend of my parents, “If you’re a lady, why do you have a beard?”

LMAO!

When my husband was a toddler, his mother was in a supermarket line with him in the little cart seat. There was a black guy ahead of them in line, and my toddler husband asked, "Why is that man chocolate?" My mother-in-law was SO embarrassed, and apologized to the guy, but he just thought it was funny.

My brother did something similar when he saw his first black person, but it was far worse than asking if they were “chocolate.” I’m frankly surprised he and my mother survived the incident.
