Statistically, they do. See "African-American Crime Statistics" for reference.
Didn’t the United Nations (which has plenty of it’s own sex scandals abusing children, running sex rings, prostitution rings, and rapes by ambassadors and peace keepers) put some language in their RIGHTS OF THE CHILD to determine sexual identity and a right to engage in sexual activity (age of consent laws be damned)?
Who says abstinence is exclusively a Christian idea?
It seems pretty common sense to me.
“hey don’t touch that stove.”
“you’re violating my human rights.”
"Abstain from that too!"
1. Condoms don’t always work. Even if they might when used correctly, they are used correctly infrequently by teens.
2. There is a new drug resistant form of gonorrhea can kill in a matter of days.
3. Single parent families have a much higher incidence of juvenile delinquency and other problems.
What’s wrong with the course? It tells you, “No”?
Sex education that gives erroneous information in order to advance an ideology should be rejected. There is nothing wrong with abstinence based sex ad provided it deals with facts and the very legit reasons for abstaining. Scare tactics just invite contempt and challenges.
Honestly except for the baisc biology I don’t think sex ed belongs in schools at all. Because sex ed without a moral dimension fails to acknowledge that sex involves the whole person, not just their naughty bits. Since one persons “forbidden” is another person’s “great!” sex ed should be left to the parents and they can instill their values as they see fit.
Sluts should be ashamed.
“Condoms aren’t reliable/don’t work” is a common claim of people insisting that medical plans include ALL forms of contraception, yet when a conservative group makes the same claim, it is called “misinformation.”
Also.... keep in mind that this news article’s characterization of a hostile party’s characterization of the Christian sexuality education program should not be taken at face value.
>>She did a lot of slut-shaming to the women, and pointed out the guys as horn-dogs, Emily, now 18 and no longer in high school, says of the courses instructor. She really ridiculed single-parent families, she made it sound like they all give birth to juvenile delinquents.
And...?
I’m sure all these statements are completely accurate. After all, teenagers never use hyperbole to get their point across. /sarcasm
I think Emily is probably lying.
Well, liberals don't like condoms as birth control devices for that reason: they break. However, in the same breath, the same liberal will tell you that condoms are good for preventing AIDS.
Sometimes they do go overboard with the warnings, much like the marijuana-will-make-you-a-killer stuff. But the one undeniable truth is that abstinence works EVERY TIME!
Anyone think Canada is anything like us? no
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
