Chafee said the woman let him in and Fontana told her, "We're going to have some fun." The woman also described Fontana as having a weird laugh.
Police said Fontana got frustrated because he didn't know how to drive a manual transmission. He put the gun down in his lap and the woman grabbed it and tried to get out of the car.
The suspect grabbed her, bit her several times and attempted to pull her back in the vehicle, Chafee said.
Investigators said Fontana bit her on the arm, leaving visible marks, and at some point she used his own gun to shoot him in the leg.

Fontana thought he’d have some fun
by approaching a woman with a gun.
He was baffled by her manual tranny
and she shot him in the fanny!
Teacher: What can we learn from this, Boys & Girls?
Lil’ Johnnie: Never bring teeth to a gunfight?
LOLOLOL!!! Good one!
The other day, I stopped at the library to return a book after hours. I left my car running with the door open and thought how funny it would be if some idiot jumped in and tried to drive off with my five-speed.
One of my daughters room mates just bought a car with a 5 speed. I took her out the other day to teach her some of the finer points, like roll starting and shifting without clutching. She’s obviously been practicing cause I heard she just taught that skill to her older brother.
“She sure did!!!! As I read this story, I thought it would be a great idea to buy a manual transmission, since it would deter theft. “
They’re outstanding for that purpose. They simply don’t learn how to drive them in LaHood.
“What the article doesnt say is that they set a bail of only $3,000”
Hence comments 3,4,5, and 7. When people say that the crime rate cannot be controlled, they are right - as long as bail is $3,000. But New York City proved it the other way and is MUCH SAFER than Atlanta...at least until the new Socialist there gets his policies going.
He hasn’t been released. Looks like the $3,000 bond is for that one count. No bond amounts for the other counts yet.
As Hillary would say “what difference does it make?” LOL!!!
When I was a state copper working in Cook County I was in Chicago in the Greektown resturant area when my partner and I monitored a Chicago Police Dept flash message about a car jacking that had just occured in the area within the last few minutes.
Just moments after we made note of it, we heard cars honking at a late model import that was moving slowly in the left lane, jerking and stopping as other cars swerved around it. Since it matched the description of the suspect vehicle, we made a felony stop, detained three suspects who had two pistols in the car, and notified CPD Tactical officers to meet us at the scene.
These suspects were subsequently identified as the offenders in the car jacking, and the reason for the erratic driving that had captured our attention was the fact that the ringleader driver couldnt operate the 5 speed manual transmission in it very well. One of his accomplices was an 18 wheel truck driver who was entirely capable of driving it, but the boss said that he had always wanted to drive a stick shift and this would be his first chance, so he ordered his buddy to stand down and took the wheel himself.
We wouldnt catch so many of these clowns if so many werent so damn stupid.
No. He only has to raise 10% or $300 if he goes through a bail bondsman.
That’s what I meant! Thanks!
