My wife and I witnessed a single light heading from low in the sky from the Austin area and headed NW over our area in Lago Vista about an hour ago. We were sitting outside waiting for the unusually bright moon to come up which was a bust.
I had just gotten outside after my shower after my shift at the local hardware store, sat down and she said "What the hell is that?" pointing to the east. Whatever it was, was a mercury vapor colored light traveling at a high rate of speed and broke into two lights. No sonic boom, just one light that broke into two lights.
LOL - at least I don’t post drunk.
(Some might think so based on this really old thread from 1999, my posts start at # 26. That post is so old, FR can’t even find it,LOL - had to use the waybackmachine, heheh.)

The thread is only 31 posts long, so start at the top to get the full flavor. It was a fun thread, at least for me.
The Houston news Channel 2 reported that it was a meteor that broke up when it entered the atmosphere. I didn’t see it or the big beautiful moon, too many trees.

Your third-grade writing skills invite invective commentary.
Most of the weirdos in California came from other places
Damn I hate when the moon doesn’t show up at it’s scheduled time!!
Well, sorry to offend your precious brain. I hurried in to the computer to see if anyone had seen the same object. There were no mentions of said object, so I started the thread and just typed what we had seen.
