My wife and I witnessed a single light heading from low in the sky from the Austin area and headed NW over our area in Lago Vista about an hour ago. We were sitting outside waiting for the unusually bright moon to come up which was a bust.
I had just gotten outside after my shower after my shift at the local hardware store, sat down and she said "What the hell is that?" pointing to the east. Whatever it was, was a mercury vapor colored light traveling at a high rate of speed and broke into two lights. No sonic boom, just one light that broke into two lights.

It’s the USUAL: our government doing something up there and not telling anyone. Nothing new.

You take a shower at the hardware store?

My nephew said that was it.
If that is what you saw Arrow, leave a comment and say where you saw it from.
It was seen in Corpus Christi and Brownwood too

No dumb***. I got out of the shower at HOME and went outside to see the unusually bright moon, which failed to materialize.

May have been, but looked like it came up from tree level area, not from the skies.

leave a comment and say where you saw it from. Lago Vista which is about 35 miles NW of Austin on Lake Travis north of Lakeway.

Seems like it was well-spotted. People were out to see the “Super Moon” and saw it.

Consider yourself fortunate, in 67 years, I've only seen one good meteor that was throwing off debris and lasted more than a second or two.

Ah sorry, I was flying over Texas and chucked my beer out the window. I guess it must have looked to you like a second UFO was sprouting out of mine. Nah.

When I was a kid there was an evening of “meteor shower” but we lived in the city. The chances of seeing anything were remote.
There was a bright one that seemed to come right at me, so much that I actually ducked.
Of course, nobody else saw a thing. No internet around then to see if others had seen it and maybe I wasn’t crazy. Nah. I was just crazy. lol.
