We have qualified for the Earned Income Tax Credit in recent years, a gimmedat for the working poor. It was our only source of gummint aid. It amounted to about $3000 per year on the average, and we relied on it to purchase school materials.
My conscience was bugging me. We opted not to take it from now on. I don’t want to be a part of the stealing machine.
