It's the recessive gene. Two people must mate who carry the recessive gene to get a readhead, and still the genes that do combine are more likely to produce darker hair.

Red hair dye looks fake; I don't know why people use it.

Blondes require two recessive genes, too.

The ancient Scythians had red hair, a long ways from Scotland. Scotland and Ireland do produce a lot of redheads. Maybe they will save the genes for it.

Texas produces a fair amount. They aren't all mine.

We aren't going to die out. The gene for red hair is tied to the gene for reproducing like rabbits on caffine.

I would be pretty upset if redheaded women were to become a thing of the past. I have quite a fondness and attraction towards them...;)
