Actually, science, as such, has nothing at all to say about either of those practices.
But in the mind of a Muslim, the Quran and science are inseparable.
So in their mind, since the Quran flat out states that women are mentally inferior, it must be true.
I dunno, plenty of smart women doctors out there..
...and bowing to a pagan moon god doesn’t seem to do much civilisation and culture wise.
